IMAP Spain is pleased to announce that Grupo Azpiaran completed the strategic acquisition of Grupo IDESA’s companies in Mallabia, Spain and Celaya, Mexico. Through these acquisitions, Azpiaran, who acquired 100% of the capital of both companies, aims to strengthen its position in the automotive components market and its global presence, with plants now in Spain, Poland and Mexico.
IDESA is an industrial company specialized in stamping parts for the automotive sector at its plants in Spain and Mexico. Following several years of changes in the Group’s management and a renewed management team, IDESA has a significant portfolio of projects and has been able to gain a foothold in the American automotive quality printing market, which has favorable growth prospects.
Azpiaran is also a stamping company, whose strategy is focused on growth, both organic and through the acquisition of other companies. Part of this growth is directed towards international markets, where the greatest potential for expansion can be found, hence the acquisition of IDESA.
The IMAP Spain team, led by Elias Martinez, acted as sole financial advisor to IDESA throughout the entire sale process.
